Ring flask, glass vozza, pilgrim&#8217;s flask, traveller&#8217;s glass, player&#8217;s water bottle etc.<br \/>Regardless of the name, it is a particular ring-shaped ceramic flask. Basically, the donut-shaped body of the flask is created on a circular foot, characterized by a small handle and a spout from which to drink. The characteristic ring shape allowed the flask to be inserted into the pack of the mules or into the arm of the traveller. So, essentially, this type of container allowed the owner to move comfortably with a water source always nearby, always having his hands free. This is why it was particularly used by pilgrims or travelers in general but also by storytellers and musicians. The latter, thanks to its particular shape, could have their hands free to play their musical instruments.<br \/>It goes without saying that these pilgrim flasks are very rare. At <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cortemanfredi.it\/en\/corte-manfredi-to-discover-salento\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Corte Manfredi<\/strong><\/a>, in Alessano, it is possible to observe a very rare pair, perfectly preserved, of Salento origin (room 7B).
