Popular belief held that spider venom could be eliminated through frenetic dancing and the energy conveyed by captivating music.<br \/>\nToday, pizzica is much more than a form of folk healing. It has become a living and vital artistic manifestation, performed on the occasion of popular festivals, festivals and local celebrations. Traditional instruments such as the battente guitar, accordion and tambourine are central to the creation of these rousing rhythms that incite dance.<br \/>\nPizzica dance is often characterized by rapid, swirling, engaging movements, with dancers moving in circles or in pairs. Every step, every gesture is full of meaning and tells a story, expressing intense emotions and contagious vitality.<br \/>\nIn addition to being a form of entertainment, pizzica has also become a symbol of cultural identity and pride for the Salento community. Contemporary artists have reinterpreted and mixed pizzica with other musical genres, bringing this thousand-year-old tradition into modern contexts and opening it to a wider audience.
